Christmas Card Design 2012

I have designed this year's Christmas card on the computer using Craft Artist (free to download). This is one of three very simple designs I have done. I added a real ribbon and silver star to each card to give it that handmade touch. I have printed the greeting inside to save time writing each card out!

30th Birthday

I made this card on the computer, for my boyfriend's 30th. I printed it out then raised the greeting using sticky fixers. I also added a yellow ribbon to contrast with the blue picture.

Wedding Card

I made this card for a friend of mine who recently got married. Again, I designed it on the computer then added embellishments once printed. Hope she likes it!

Magical Birthday

I haven't made this card for anyone specifically, I just felt like making cards today. I designed it on the computer then, once printed, added a ribbon, brad, gems and a key which I raised using sticky fixers. The message inside reads 'Happy Birthday'. I am really pleased with this one, I don't think the photograph shows off the colours, it is quite vibrant in real life.

Graduation Card

My sister has just completed her teacher training - it's been a long and difficult year (I know because I've done it myself). She is literally jumping for joy and so am I, I'm so happy for her. I made this card completely by hand, no digital crafting this time; I just happened to have papers, ribbons and buttons that all matched. I coloured in the hand-stamped image to match too. I think she was pleased with it.

Digital Crafting

I have just downloaded Serif's 'Craft Artist' for free and used some different digikits to make these two cards. I can't believe how quick and easy it is to make cards on the computer! To give them a handmade finish I added real ribbon and also printed the embellishment for each twice so I could raise it using sticky fixers. I printed a coloured panel to write the greeting on inside each card and I also printed my signature stamp on the back. I am really pleased with them overall and I will definitely be making more cards this way in the future. They are still unique and look really effective but, most importantly, there is less mess!

Card for Ivy

I have made this card for my boyfriend's Nanna, who turns 90 tomorrow! Her name is Ivy, I hope she likes it!

Birthday Girl

I made this card in exactly the same way as the last, using a stamp and pro-markers. I tore the backing paper rather than cutting it then added a beautiful ribbon. I am really pleased with this one.
